  Use found for Timmy! Hoorah!

I recently stumbled upon a good use for Timmy heads -- no, not as kindling for your next campfire (they don't burn well anyway) -- but as girls! See this and more on my LEGO site's new page for simple minifig head customizations. Nothing to fancy (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.announce) !

(...) These are pretty clever and quite simple too. If I had the heart to take an exacto to my Lego, I'd seriously consider some of these (especially scraping those darn microphones off all the minifig heads!) Adrian -- www.brickfrenzy.com (23 years ago, 12-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) FWIW, use a pencil eraser for to remove broader printed areas such as sideburns and larger beards. If you don't trust yourself with a regular pencil eraser, art supply stores can have various kinds that are somewhat smaller and pointed. -Tom (...)   Re: Use found for Timmy! Hoorah!

(...) Be warned: It is highly addictive. I've committed myself to keeping one unmodified head of each sort, but have spent a lot of time subtly (and not so subtly) modifying faces. Some more useful ones (no pics yet): Barron von Barron (trim the (...) (23 years ago, 13-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

While these are attractive, you could just send those Timmies to me. I LIKE Timmy, along with the whole TimeCruisers theme. (...) (23 years ago, 15-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Use found for Timmy! Hoorah!

(...) I've had good luck removing Timmy freckles and some microphones using a solvent and a toothpick. You have to be slow and patient, and it may not be as efficient as an exacto, but it works. I don't try to remove microphones if they overlap the (...) (23 years ago, 16-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Use found for Timmy! Hoorah!

(...) I second that. erasers give a far better result and you loose less of the shiny finish. the ink erasers that have rubber instead of lead in a pencil are good cos you can sharpen them to keep the point (not sure if that is what you mean by (...)   Re: Use found for Timmy! Hoorah!

(...) I have heard that you found a use for those Timmy figures and they do fit the profile of a girl but I personally do not see what is so irritatiing about Timmy the LEGO figure. I may see why Jar Jar Binks is annoying but not Timmy. I will (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

(...) I forgot that you needed a LEGO minifigure head that has a black goatee and normal eyes for the Goldberg and Stone Cold steve Austin LEGO minifigures. I apologize for this oversight, Brendan. Jesse Long (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: Use found for Timmy! Hoorah!

(...) hmmm... I really think people go over-board with this character. I didn't exactly like either Time Cruiser line or Time Twister line.... just a way for LEGO to dump off some of its excess (and useless pieces). it was either that, or the set (...)
