if you follow the URL : http://www.brickfilms.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=7166 to
the discussion and this one: http://www.brickfilms.com/events.php to the
announcement, you'll find out that this contest was announced back on March 1...
at brickfilms.com.
The people that hang out there have presumably known about it for a while. I'm
not exactly sure why it wasn't announced here sooner, but it might have to do
with the delay in getting BrickFest itself finalised. Not announcing here (or
elsewhere that newbies hang out) right away might mean that newbies don't find
out about it at the same time that the "regulars" do, which is unfortunate but
hopefully won't mean that there aren't good entries.
