  LD4DModeler 1.1

Hello all. I've been busy with other stuff for over a year but last weekend I picked up my LD4DModeler project. I've renewed and relocated it's website and released version 1.1. The 1.1 version fixes some irritating bugs I've found while doing a (...) (20 years ago, 23-Nov-04, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.cad)

  Re: website I just found

(...) I had not seen that before. I'm a big fan of the GTA games, so once I'm home (and not connected through the work firewall) I'll have to download that movie. Thanks for the heads up. Todd (and others who might want to avoid RealPlayer) - I don't have any handy links to any of the entries that may be in other formats besides RealMedia but I know some of the producers of the entries do have them available.   Re: BrickFest Animation Festival Entries - Downloads

(...) The curse on RealPlayer has lessened. Unless I'm mistaken, it doesn't even run a background process any more! It will only display an update message every now and then when you run it, and even that can easily be minimized in the settings. The (...)   Re: BrickFest Animation Festival Entries - Downloads

(...) Cool, Greg...thanks. Say, would it be possible to make these available for download as MPEG or QuickTime? I don't have Real Player(1). If not, that's OK; I'll wait for the DVD. --Todd (1) evil spyware (20 years ago, 16-Aug-04, to lugnet.animation, lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

BrickFest Animation Festival Entries - Downloads

It's unfortunate that the Animation Presentation had to be cancelled Saturday night at BrickFest. I was only able to stop in for a few minutes on Sunday on my way back home to Richmond so I did not get to see any of the showings that took place (...)   Re: Anyone doing Stop Motion with a Digital Camera?

(...) I've played with iStopMotion on Mac OS X. Awesome app, it is so easy. They have an ad on www.brickfilms.com. I met one of the developers too, and he is really nice.   Re: Anyone doing Stop Motion with a Digital Camera?

(...) I've done it using an app called FrameThief, but recently have decided to switch to one called MediaEdit. FrameThief is OS X only, but I think MediaEdit runs on Windows as well. A search should turn them up. Both of these are nice because they (...) (20 years ago, 4-Aug-04, to lugnet.animation)

  Re: floating/jumping/flying models?

(...) There are a few different tricks that you can use. One is the string trick that you mentioned above. I've never had much luck with it myself.   floating/jumping/flying models?

How do stop-motion animators make models that are in mid-air on certain frames? I can imagine suspending the model with a thread and then scrubbing the thread out digitally, but (1) that's a lot of work, and (2) the model wouldn't be very stable, (...)   New Animation!

Hello, all. I have just discovered POV-Ray's wonderful Spline feature. I was mulling over how to create fluid movements with exponential curves. I did achieve some good results, but the animations are rather small and simple. It then occurred to me (...) (20 years ago, 6-Jul-04, to lugnet.cad.ray, lugnet.animation)
