  Who Does Lego Like the Most?
 
So the 5th cycle of ambassadors was just announced, and I'd like to take some time to reflect on the state of the Ambassador program. 5 half-years in, and I'm still unsure of the goals, effects, and unintended consequences of the program. I found out last night that I would not be one of the cycle 5 Ambassadors. At the same time that e-mail had been sent another was saying that I'd been removed from the Ambassadors forum. I'm trying to organize LEGO events at the upcoming World Science Fiction Convention, or (URL) Worldcon>, known this year as (URL) "Nippon2007"> and to be held in Yokohama, Japan. (...) Very nice models! My favourite is the DeLorean, it is in my opinion the best model to be made out of LEGO. We've been working with Eric at Northstar Computers to get it fixed, but it looks like the drive(s) are hosed at a low level, and require a clean (...) I always liked the classic bug. I am not sure how it would sell in the USA, but classic is always good. I do think offering copies of new cars with the dealers would be a great specialty set. A while ago the ambassadors (URL) asked> for ideas for a possible future car set. The restrictions were: •The car will be for display, which means it will have little functionality •The car will have a System body •The car should be very iconic (...) I gotta tell you I really love the modular town idea, and I really like the attention paid to architectural design. I just really hope LEGO prices these well enough for them to be a real hit. Bravo! (18 years ago, 12-Jan-07, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

Hi Didier, (...) These models are moreless scatch models. They are all grey/black only to get an idea of the size and the details or the choice between studs, tiles or both building ways. You bring us a great news Stephan ! I can hardly believe it, Wow... Modular Buildings Products !? Could you tell me "the modular" means actually... A: Modularized buildings to make My Own Town. i.e. Hotels, Shops, Firehouses, Police-stations, a (...) (18 years ago, 11-Jan-07, to lugnet.ambassadors)
