Not true. If you look at the
Brickshelf
scan, you can see that the lower ring of black 3x4 slopes does not extend
across in the back. If these were front and back shots of the same exact
model, that section should be missing from the foreground in the
FBTB Toy Fair image. Another way
to tell is that there are two identical structures in the way back of the Toy
Fair image, and if it had been flipped around, there should be one right
where the catapult is in the scan. Furthermore, the large structure in the
forward left of the Toy Fair image looks nothing like the small structure in
the back right of the scan, which in turn is identical to the background
structures in the Toy Fair image. Besides, if the front and back both had
solid walls with small doors and windows set into them, kids would have a
tough time actually playing inside the structure.
What you are seeing is that the little yellow shrine from the front left
corner of the scan has been transplanted to back right of the Toy Fair model,
and a new structure has been added where the fireworks used to be. I dont
remember seeing the barrel of fireworks during my Toy Fair visit, and while
my photo doesnt show
a lot of detail, the front doors are open, and you can see that the back of
the fortress is mostly open, with a pillar or two to support the second
floor. You can also see that the back section of that lower ring of slopes
is missing, just like in the Brickshelf scan.
As for which version is the final one, I couldnt say for sure. My gut
instinct is to lean more towards the Toy Fair version, but its always
possible that it was put together incorrectly. Theyve got a large number of
models to put on display in a rather short amount of time, and mistakes can
happen.

Hi,
The Brickshelf image is the correct one, with the fireworks at the left front.
You can see the front of the real model here:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=424633 (long load time).
The small building houses the knight, and is placed in the same position as the
stairs are at the front, only at the backside. This can be seen in this image,
with its doors closed, just to the left of the halftrack(behind the glass):
