  Re: Dino Island Issues

(...) karl ~ bear in mind that the pics are very small, and making out details is just impossible. from the 2000 catalogue scans, it looks like gail storm is wearing a brown aviators cap this season. if anyone, SHE is the adventurer with the biggest (...)   Re: Dino Island Issues

I know this is my own message, but I forgot something. Look in set 5987, and 5975, I'm positive that Harry Cane (Gabarro?) got to change his outfit. That makes him the only minifig with a different outfit for every adventure. Thanks again, K@RL (...) (26 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Dino Island Issues

Hi, all! I have some issues that I would like to bring up. First would be the colour of the dino's feet, consider: in 5987, the stegosaurus has orange feet in 5955, the stegosaurus has white feet, the triceratops has orange feet in 5975, the (...) (26 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Oh my Gawd!! These sets are awesome!!

(...) Just to clarify: Unless Huw was threatened by TLC and kept that to himself (which I doubt), Huw chose to remove the scans from his own site at his own discretion after having considered concerns and suggestions which were raised. --Todd (26 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

(...) apparently (...) dinos, (...) I love the rusty corrugated metal roof pieces, and the planes look great, but why are Harry and the professor sitting in the engines on the blue one? Eh, adding a cockpit will be no biggie. Kevin (26 years ago, 5-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Oh my Gawd!! These sets are awesome!!

(...) These sets really remind me of Jurassic Park 1 & 2(the movies). And perhaps they used slightly modified dragon molds to make some of the dinosaurs. :) But I'm not complaining, these sets do look cool indeed! Bryan (26 years ago, 5-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Dino Island set pictures!

Huw's great web site now has pictures of all the 200 sets, including the Dino Island sets. What can I say? They are much better than the Amazon sets. There is even a frighter ship! The pontoon plane is great, and even the base look wonderful! I (...) (26 years ago, 5-Dec-99, to lugnet.adventurers)

Re: Any ideas on how to do this with Technic?

(...) I don't know what the big 'L' calls it, but I think it's a Slipper Clutch. They're used all over the place in r/c race cars, to protect the drivetrain, both the motor and the gears/belts, from the abuse of a heavy throttle finger and/or rough (...)
