  Re: next year

(...) No, I don't think that you can draw that conclusion. There's nothing in the movie to date it (by our timeline) and while it seems to be a retelling of a story (at least from the intro scrolls with each movie) it's not a given. I know the (...)   Re: Can anyone help? -- N. African / Arabian castles and forts (18th to 20th centuries)

Here is a link to a wonderful site dealing with all things concerning colonial wargaming. It contains a wealth of information on building desert forts, not exactly French Foreign Legion, but it should give you some good ideas. (URL) Ewald (...)   Re: next year

(...) No, it was set in our future, but the story was being told by someone for whom the events of the Star Wars saga were in the past. Got it? (...) (24 years ago, 31-Oct-00, to lugnet.adventurers)

  Re: My scorpion-towed hover chariot

BWAHAHAHAHAH!!! I laughed until the guy in the next cubicle hid under his desk for fear of my going postal. This wouldn't be half as funny if I hadn't attempted the same thing. No Scorpion shaped chariot, though, that is the ultimate touch. :) (...) (24 years ago, 30-Oct-00, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

(...) Here's one article, though a bit older than that last few centuries: (URL) search on "Krak des Chevaliers" brought up lots of hits. Maybe you're thinking more of Foreign Legion forts though?   Can anyone help? -- N. African / Arabian castles and forts (18th to 20th centuries)

I'm cross-posting this a bit because I'm not quite sure where it fits. I'd like to know if anyone can point me to any resources (web sites, books, etc.) with pictures or diagrams of forts and castles used in the Sahara and Arabian regions during the (...)
