I like these.  I wouldn't change a thing.  All types of posts seem to be
covered.  Well thought out, Frank.

Ditto.

How to implement is another matter.  Certainly, if these guidelines are to be
implemented as rules, they could be listed or linked on the main b-s-t page
(hey, that's my job I guess).  This would aid compliance and enforcement in a
big way.

Well we've had discussion in the past on whether behavioural things ought to
be FAQ entries or what, but if these guidelines seem well received, even if
not codified as formal rules, linking to them from the main market page and
other relevant places might be an excellent idea (perhaps couched as "here's
what is considered acceptable, if you stay within these boundaries you are
more likely to have your posting well received" or similar soft toned words)

Spam. Yet another matter of internet life, and yet,
how I can't stand it!

Thankfully, the lugnet FAQ and the TOS prohibit spamming, so I
hopefully won't have to see any of it here.

Linking this to the main market page would definitely be a good idea,
as Larry Pointed out, but another idea would to include several
extra key guildlines to the charter, because some people are lazy and don't
even bother to read the FAQ.

I think Lugnet should have a "several strike" policy on these.
For example, the first warning, after let's say, repetitive posting
or whatever would be a warning from other posters, and if the poster
decides to follow up on the offense again, a second warning will be
issued along with an admin warning. Then, if the offender is idiotic
enough to break the charter for a third and final time, administrative
action would follow, and punishment pending (or what the admins see as
suitable).

Just my two brickz...
