Well, I use the web interface so currently (unless I get off my duff and find a
macro solution) my sig is whatever I feel like typing by hand. But when I was
posting via Netscape news, my sig was what I had configured it to be. Since I
posted to more places than just here, it needed to be general purpose,
including where I worked.
If you ever get mail from me on my Mercator ID, you are going to see a sig that
is pretty work oriented, including my title. That's there for valid reasons
too.
With that as background, I have no reason to change. Sounds like you have
issues you may want to dig into about why it bothers you. Personally I like
seeing what people do in real life.
