Member "Set Lists" —Kyle D. Jackson
G'day, I suggest the following for the member "Set Lists" pages (e.g., found at (URL) Add a column for the set year. 2) Allow the list to be sorted by various columns by clicking on the column heading. I'm looking for this so that I may view my set (...) (20 years ago, 2-Sep-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Member "Set Lists" —Dan Boger
(...) I agree that these would be cool additions to LUGNET. However, until they are done, you can get pretty much the same effect through Peeron's My Parts. Just associate your LUGNET ID with your Peeron ID, and you can then view and sort your set (...) (20 years ago, 2-Sep-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Member "Set Lists" —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) Dan, that's beautiful, man..., just beautiful <sniff> :] I didn't have a Peeron ID, but it goes without saying I do now! Now I almost want to suggest that LUGNET add a link to my Peeron list... ;] Thanx! ___...___ LUGNETer #203, Ontario, (...) (20 years ago, 2-Sep-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Member "Set Lists" —Kyle D. Jackson
(...) Okay, correcting myself now. As nice as the Peeron list is (especially the "Build This Set" option, cool!), it still doesn't help me. I want to see my "Want to Buy" list sorted by set year. Unfortunately Peeron only has the "Sets Owned" data. (...) (20 years ago, 5-Sep-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Member "Set Lists" Rene Hoffmeister
(...) Hi Kyle, I added a column to the set year and it's also given to the downloadable raw data file, so you can at least sort your list by year on your local PC. An advanced sorting mechanism for the web-view will be added later. Leg Godt! René (18 years ago, 10-Jul-06, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Member "Set Lists" —Dan Boger
(...) Man, I wish I knew you were changing that :) I'll need to update peeron to adjust to the new format. I'm guessing anyone else who is parsing the data will need to as well. :) (18 years ago, 11-Jul-06, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Member "Set Lists" Rene Hoffmeister
(...) Hi Dan, sorry, I haven't known. It was about inserting an extra column between "name" and "pcs." only. Do you know who else could be affected? I would advice these people via eMail. Leg Godt! René (18 years ago, 11-Jul-06, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.db.inv)

Re: Member "Set Lists" —Dan Boger
(...) Nod - it's not a major change in any means. It's still a change to a published API to the database, and being completely open, we have no way of know who (if anyone) is using it. I've updated peeron to deal with the new values (all it took was (...) (18 years ago, 11-Jul-06, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.db.inv)

Re: Member "Set Lists" —Frank Filz
(...) Another little suggestion - adding new columns at the end will often eliminate the effect of changes like this (and scripts can even be written to explicitly expect the possibility of new columns being added at the end). Of course another way (...) (18 years ago, 14-Jul-06, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Member "Set Lists" Rene Hoffmeister
(...) Do you mean id-attributes on the <td>-tags? Regards, René (18 years ago, 14-Jul-06, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Member "Set Lists" —Frank Filz
(...) Actually, the <td> tags by themselves could be parsed by a program that processes the data to find the title of each column. Frank (18 years ago, 15-Jul-06, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Member "Set Lists" Rene Hoffmeister
(...) Added to the Suggestions List! Thanks, Rene (18 years ago, 15-Jul-06, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Member "Set Lists" —Dan Boger
(...) Since there's a text "tab-delimited" version of the list, parsing the HTML to get the data is both wasteful and fragile. As for the idea of using the list titles to adjust for column updates, well, that's not a bad idea :) (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Member "Set Lists" —David Eaton
(...) I've got a couple scripts that parse that same file, but I never actually parsed the column headers since the column headings were a bit ... odd. They're multi-line and arranged such that they're human-readable, which, when you think about it, (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Member "Set Lists" —Frank Filz
(...) Good point. Hmm, what if the data was exported in XML... (...) Yea, the nice thing also is that if someone changes a column title, so that your program/script can't find it, your program/script can throw up a warning that apparently the data (...)         Re: Member "Set Lists" —David Eaton
(...) Oooo! We'd just need an accepted standard schema for set list information! 'Course, you'd have to keep the tab-delimited format around for anyone who's importing straight into Excel or something (which is I think how many people keep their (...)
