I would posit that it does NOT work. As I said in an offline note to Bill
(which I tried to also post here but bobbled the email addy for Lugnet)

No that's not what I meant, sorry... how do I override that (mail to the
poster) setting?
There is no way to override that from the web interface since it launches a
mail (or in my case, falls over unless Outlook is already running, silly
IE). I suppose one could, if one knew, change the TO to point to the lugnet
mail bridge, but with it set to POSTER from the web interface you can't
start another post *inside* the web interface...
