Since this is uncharted (or virutally uncharted) territory here (since

done, I'm just saying this is a new gray area (to my knowledge).

I would expect that the TOU should be changed from describing behavior in
discussion groups to simply behavior on Lugnet. Theoretically, in addition to
the set database, you've got:

- curators putting data on the newsgroup front pages
- members writing their own profile
- members writing their own Lugnet FTX webpages
- set guide admins putting in comments into sets
- admins (maybe someday) putting info into the main page (or other common areas)

Back before Lugnet had members or so much web-functionality (or spread out
administration), the primary area of concern was the discussion groups. But
really, I'd put my money on having that "code of ethics" apply to all publically
viewable data transmitted to Lugnet. (IE, it's not a TOU violation to send a
vulgar email to a Lugnet email address, or put up a vulgar comment in your
privately viewable comment area)

(...) Eww, ya, that's gross. To answer your question -- Is it technically possible? Yes. Is it obligatory? No. Is it warranted? That's a very good question -- and a tough one. Obviously, this doesn't actually answer your question, however. (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jan-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)
