People who Want to Sell this set and the price

A suggestion concerning the "People who Want to Sell this set" page in the guide: I think it would be helpful if the set price (as shown to the right of the set picture, third item) were denoted as being the MSRP. Using MSRP may not be the most (...) (18 years ago, 28-Nov-07, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  LUGNET aircraft group?

This newsgroup (lugnet.build.military) is great for posting military aircraft, such as (URL) Ralph Savelsberg's F-117A and Su-27>. But there's really no suitable place for civilian aircraft. I know that LUGNET has been in a pretty static state for a (...) (19 years ago, 31-Jul-07, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

  Improved email obfuscation

I have a suggestion regarding the spam-prevention obfuscation that is applied to email addresses in (URL) message headers. I think the dummy phrases should not appear at the beginning or end of the address, only interposed between characters of the (...) (19 years ago, 16-Jul-07, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

Re: Anyone seen/baught a PAB Tub?

(...) OMG(oodness) in today's episode of "How the Lugnet Turns", the character of Troy will be played by Rosco. Tune in next week, when we solve the glitches in formatting and world peace. Janey "Rather Purple, Red Brick" (19 years ago, 29-May-07, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Anyone seen/baught a PAB Tub?

(...) Grrrs@Lugnet I am willing to take that spanking for replying to my own post. Can someone correct the long term glitch in the formatting so the "thing" that happened with my last post never strikes again? Janey "Trying to kill the geek within, (...)   Re: New Lugnet Design and Top Stories List

(...) As members we can create our own using an FTX page. You just need to specify what you want to be included. I created (URL) is simply: [NewsSpotlight lugnet.general] [NewsSpotlight lugnet.parts] [NewsSpotlight lugnet.trains] HTH, Jude (19 years ago, 25-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: New Lugnet Design and Top Stories List

(...) I think this is made difficult because the top stories list (and much of the front page I think?) is cached, and re-generated regularly, to reduce server load. To allow a customisable list on the front page would increase that load (...) (19 years ago, 25-Feb-07, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

  Re: The new home page

(...) thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, you have no idea how much the lack of the traffic link was driving me crazy. ondrew (19 years ago, 23-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Dots From Here

When a thread goes beyond the "automatic dots display" threshold, would it be possible to add a "Dots From Here" option, that displays the dots from the current message, rather than the initial message in the thread? Thanks ROSCO (19 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: The new home page

(...) Hi Jordan, together with some minor changes (probably not noticeable), I finally added the link to the Traffic Report to the Forum Shortcuts. Leg Godt! Rene (19 years ago, 19-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: PLEASE fix links

(...) Which W3 standard does it go against? I'm not aware of any. RFC 1738 is vague on the issue. RFC 1738 says that space characters are not valid HTTP URL components; lexical scanners are therefore supposed to halt a URL production when they read (...)   Re: PLEASE fix links

(...) This is already on the .suggestions sidebar list, and I seem to recall it was discussed some time ago, I found this: (URL) but I'm sure there was a more lengthy discussion, I just don't seem to be able to find the right search terms... ROSCO (19 years ago, 17-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: PLEASE fix links

(...) I agree with this! Reading in a newsreader, I always have to copy the text of links and edit them before having a chance to use them in a browser. That's counterproductive, and makes me reluctant to follow most FTX links. (19 years ago, 17-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: PLEASE fix links

This is actually one of the short list of reasons why my Lugnet frequency has dropped (besides obviously the biggee, time constraints). I am getting more and more frustrated with the broken links as more and more people are using the web interface (...) (19 years ago, 17-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: PLEASE fix links

(...) After 7 years?!? OK, I put it to the list, but to be honest, this is not the most important thing I will work off, sorry! (...) I'm in favour of standards too, but I wouldn't see it so heavily dramatic ;-) -Rene (19 years ago, 17-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: JLUG - Do we need a newsgroup on LUGNET?

(...) LOL, Rene, while I thank you for your kindness in consideration, and Jude for his suggestion (I am so going to kick your butt for this one Jude), I do not want JLUG "news" (or lack there of) to be part of LUGNET (or a larger part that it has (...)   Re: PLEASE fix links

As a note - my own post here via Tbird shows valid links for the first, third, fourth, and fifth URLs. So the incorrect links are most likely coming from direct web posting via Lugnet's interface. Its' engine (FTX, I'd assume) is creating invalid (...) (19 years ago, 17-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)
