  Re: Forgotten Password Link

I too, would really like such a feature. I recently got a new computer, when my old PC died, I can't remember my lugnet password, and the email that had it was on the HD of the now dead old computer. Daniel Rubin (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Forgotten Password Link

I don't understand why there isn't a simple "Email me my forgotten password" or such link somewhere. I just had to jump through all the hoops to post a msg. even though I've been a member for years. I remember trying to reset my password to (...) (21 years ago, 30-Oct-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Suggest scale modeling newsgroup

(...) Heck, I'd even moderate it. (21 years ago, 30-Sep-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Suggest scale modeling newsgroup

(...) That makes sense to me! (21 years ago, 26-Sep-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Suggest scale modeling newsgroup

(...) I'm guessing it would be in the .build heirarchy. What would you suggest for the name? lugnet.build.scalemodel? As to whether we should have a .build.scalemodel, seems like a good idea to me. -Lenny (21 years ago, 26-Sep-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Suggest scale modeling newsgroup

Are there any feelings about whether there would be enough interest in a new newsgroup for discussion about scale modeling of real objects? I don't know where this would fit best in the newsgroup heirarchy; I leave that to the experts. I could see (...) (21 years ago, 26-Sep-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Request for LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup

I would like to request a new LEGO Digital Designer Newsgroup; a subgroup of lugnet.cad ----> to be ----> lugnet.cad.ldd . Please. Thanks. Eric Sophie LEGO Digital Designer user (21 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.suggestions) !

Re: LEGO Factory slipped a bit?

(...) snip (...) Seconded and spotlighted. There have been a lot of LEGO Factory postings in .cad, but since discussion of LEGO Factory could encompass .cad, .lego and various .market topics, I think it deserves its own newsgroup. Marc Nelson Jr. (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

  Re: suggest a "Factory" group

(...) I second this suggestion. The discussion is only going to become more frequent as more factory features are released. Tim (21 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

  suggest a "Factory" group

There's already a lot of talk about LEGO Factory, scattered throughout the LUGNET hierarchy. I suggest a new group, probably at the root level (i.e. lugnet.factory). Best, Joe (21 years ago, 17-Aug-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)

  Re: Group needed for BrickWiki?

(...) I'm interested in how the Wiki and LUGNET can work together. more later. -Suz (21 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Group needed for BrickWiki?

In lugnet.admin.suggestions, Ross Crawford wrote: A wiki logically does not need a group for discussion as a wiki can handle it itself...but yes a lugnet group for BrickWiki may be useful (who say I'm logical ?). (...) good Didier (21 years ago, 18-Jul-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Group needed for BrickWiki?

Re: Non-numbered sets in the database (Re: Book Reviews, feedback)

(...) Yes Dave is right. Dave and Eric Strand have been digging up lots of obscure Samsonite sets that were sold by department stores. As an example a 1969 Sears catalog shows set #49-C-4418, which is a 335 piece basic set. Not exactly a user (...) (21 years ago, 22-Jun-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Non-numbered sets in the database (Re: Book Reviews, feedback)

(...) I would also like to see non-numbered 'official' sets in the database. Your example included the Weetabix sets, but there are other promo sets not in the DB. Life Puppet, for instance. Also, there are the sets sold through department stores, (...) (21 years ago, 20-Jun-05, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Re: Non-numbered sets in the database (Re: Book Reviews, feedback)

(...) I agree Jojo, There are a few regular Lego sets that have rather strange numbers. The (Denmark Only) education sets of the 1960's are an example. You have "Terapi" sets "I", "II" and "III", and "S/8" sets and "K/12" sets. Gary Istok (21 years ago, 18-Jun-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

Non-numbered sets in the database (Re: Book Reviews, feedback)

Hello! Sorry for revitalising an aged thread... (...) The main problem with the database probably is its strict limitation to numbers. While I like set numbers and actually prefer them over set names (because numbers are universal while names differ (...)   Re: Please consider fixing FTX...

Hmm, it seems more and more folks are creating FTX posts with FTX hard new lines without a real new line. If these are being created in the web editor, could it reasonably force a real new line? It's slowly getting to the point that NNTP access to (...) (21 years ago, 6-Jun-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)

  Re: Please consider fixing FTX...

(...) Like I said, I'm not playing to the cheap seats. Newsreaders Be Darned! Honestly, it never even occurred to me. I've accessed LUGNET via the web ever since I started reading it, and the foibles of the newsreader interface have been, at best, (...) (21 years ago, 1-Jun-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, FTX)
