Are there any feelings about whether there would be enough interest in a new
newsgroup for discussion about scale modeling of real objects? I don't know
where this would fit best in the newsgroup heirarchy; I leave that to the
experts.
I could see that for some posts there would be some crossover, such as into
lugnet.boats when a builder dispalys a new scale model MOC of a boat, but other
discussions would be unique to a scale modeling newsgroup, such as discussions
abuot scale mathematics, how to implement difficult features of the real object
being modeled, selecting a scale to use, etc.
I have created two large scale models thus far, and am working on a third.
Opinions?
Thanks,
Duane Collicott

| (...) Not being involved in suggestions on this forum before, how does this work? Does a suggestion like this ever get an official response? Since it didn't have a massive following, does it just end up in the circular file? Thanks! (19 years ago, 18-Dec-05, to lugnet.admin.suggestions)
