This entire subject, and everything related to its disgusts me. None of these news groups should have been created, period. I have a question / suggestion. Why not change the default settings on the main message display list to include only theme and local groups? The thought behind this is to create a kid-friendly default view of LUGNET. I know this opens a lot of worm (...) (20 years ago, 20-Sep-04, to lugnet.admin.nntp)

Long ago, when lugnet.people was created, the idea of subgroups was entertained. Possible subgroups envisioned at the time included Kids, Teens, Parents, and NSLOs. At the time, LUGNET was still small, and it was felt that creating these subgroups (...) (20 years ago, 20-Sep-04, to lugnet.admin.nntp, lugnet.announce, FTX) !!
