Agreed! :) I just meant to say that one type was "more" auction-like than the
other type, not to say that the bicycle example wasn't an auction at all. If
you buy into the concept of fuzzy quantifiers on how much something is an
auction, the bicycle example might be, say, only 10% auction, whereas Eric's
example might be, say, 40% auction. :)

| (...) Taken by itself, 0%. S@H THIS WEEK will not take less and will not charge more. If they run out it was first come first served, those who offered to pay more will not get priority. Taken over time S@H could be viewed as a modified dutch (...) (26 years ago, 26-Jan-99, to lugnet.admin.general)
