(...) OK I guess it was my bad, I just tested it and it does come back with a warning message. It must have been me being "OK" happy when I got the message the first time. So it does warn you although the only choices are "OK" and "Cancel" so it (...) (25 years ago, 3-Feb-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

This may be more of an FYI but I thought I ought to mention it. I recently Installed Netscape 6 and have been posting without a problem for a couple of days now. Yes i have had offers to buy sets i wanted to buy, (picked up a 8880 Mint at a good price) and other requests, instructions etc. I was quite happy to help them out. I forgot that the % charcter becomes encoded by the article-display code, so the URL that invokes jump.cgi is actually this, with double (...) (25 years ago, 31-Jan-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

Turns out I made an idiotic mistake in my URL rewriting mechanism -- whereby all %XX-encoded characters accidentally got decoded into raw 8-bit form and sent to the browser (...)
