(...) Paul -- thanks. Yes, I've seen this before -- I know what to do. It's detected an internal inconsistency in your data for that set. I just rebuilt it from the redundant data store. I believe this happened during the "burp" that occurred a few (...) (24 years ago, 14-Jan-01, to lugnet.admin.general)

(...) No, it just never completed a write operation -- random bad luck in a section of unsafe code that assumes that power won't go out or that the system doesn't melt down.
