Todd - How much of an inconvenience would it be for you to put in some basic form of link parsing for the part of the news server that accepts posts? Also, would it be too much to ask for some basic tag identifiers to help identify the start and end (...) (26 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

I seem to be able to post normally much of the time, but I am occasionally getting a "login" screen (read the tos, enter info, (...) (26 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Todd, When I enter a message thru the web interface, then click preview, the raw text (in the edit window) comes back with hard line breaks at the end of each line. Why does this happen ? In case it matters, I'm using MacOS 8.1, Netscape 4.5. This (...) (26 years ago, 24-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Ahh, yes - you have discovered that some LDRAW elements have colors hard-coded into them. They therefore do not appear with the color specified, but rather with the colors embedded into the .dat file for them. :-) Cheers ... Geoffrey Hyde (...) Interesting discussion. It just raised a parallel issue which gives us a precedent to look at. That precedent is auctions.
