(...) then all the mail spammers send would be going directly to lugnet, something i don't think any of us want (especially the sysadmins!). spammers generally don't handpick e-mail addresses, they usually harvest them from the web or newsgroups or (...) (...) Email addresses are a fundamental element of the NNTP & SMTP header paradigms. Although (in theory) it would be very easy to 'hide' email addresses from non-members via the web interface, it's much less practical via SMTP and almost completely (...)
