I'd think you'd _prefer_ this -- if the thread has moved away from something
you're interested in, why would you want to read it anymore? Or, if it is
something you want to follow, why not follow that group?

(...) There's a difference between being interested in a particular *thread*, and being interested in a particular newsgroup. I don't subscribe to lugnet.castle.*, because I don't have the time. That doesn't mean I'm totally disinterested in all (...) (25 years ago, 24-May-00, to lugnet.admin.general)
