That's a great point, Mike.
On the one hand, if it's free, it has the potential to suck e-NOR-mous
amounts of bandwidth. Why, the first day that the 1999 LEGO catalog came
out and we had pics up at <http://www.lugnet.com/1999/>, someone posted the
URL to Slashdot and then there suddenly were 2.4 gigabytes of images going
out that day. The server and its net-connection can easily handle pumping
out that amount of bandwidth, but bandwidth still doesn't grow on trees.
And on the other hand, if it's not free, then what? Then people p&m about
charging money for something that other places (geocites, etc.) do for free.
And then you also run the risk of people posting kiddie porn or copyrighted
stuff and whatnot.
It's absolutely not a risk worth taking at this stage.
Again, maybe someday.
