Oh no, Dave's not doing that. What he's linking are the pages that contain
the pictures, not directly to the JPEG images themselves. So what Dave's
doing is perfectly fine.
(Except for one thing: The links Dave made are producing a frowny face
picture because the URLs he gave are using the server's raw IP address
rather than its domain name. So when the CGI script that spits out the
images checks the HTTP referer, it decides there's a mismatch. I probably
should fix this so that it recognizes its own IP address as well as its own
domain name, or at least auto-forwards the browser to the correct URL.)
