Small issue with homepage & Firefox —Ross Crawford
When using Firefox, if I middle-click one of the top stories to open in a new tab, the description popup stays displayed, and mousing over the other topics displays their popups behind it. Opera doesn't seem to have this problem, but I haven't tried (...) (17 years ago, 19-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Small issue with homepage & Firefox Rene Hoffmeister
(...) Hi Ross, this is correct behaviour, because the whole link is still active. The link consists of the subject in the blue Top Stories Box AND the text in the yellow box (in FF clarified by the dotted line). Click on any place on the site to (...)    (...) Yeah I was pretty sure it was correct behaviour, but it could be a little confusing/annoying. I guess there's no easy way to work around it? ROSCO (17 years ago, 19-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

Re: Small issue with homepage & Firefox Rene Hoffmeister
(...) Hi Ross, to be honest, the way I wrote the source code isn't the cleanest way. Example: <div class='box_top box_topcol_x'> <a class='top_link' href='(URL)Green Quad <span> <img src='(URL) alt='' /> Hey all, check out my (URL) Green Quad, now (...)    (...) Ah good old IE! Maybe we should penalise people who use IE by using the correct code?????? (Yes, I am kidding!!!!) ROSCO (17 years ago, 19-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Small issue with homepage & Firefox Rene Hoffmeister
(...) I have to admit that I haven't installed IE7 yet, does anybody know whether IE7 knows the :hover pseudo also for other elements than just <a>? If yes, I indeed would change the code, because IE6- users wouldn't lose any significant (...) (17 years ago, 19-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.general)

I don't know about "elements other than just <a>" but if I go and hover over the LUGNET top stories here on my IE7 client, that it seems to remove the last (...)         Re: Small issue with homepage & Firefox Rene Hoffmeister
(...) Hi Geoffrey (and other IE7 users), here is a test site: (URL) With IE6, there should not be a yellow preview box when moving the mouse over any of the Top Stories links. With FF, there should be a yellow preview box (although it will be (...) (17 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

Re: Small issue with homepage & Firefox Rene Hoffmeister
(...) That was fast, just got a screenshot via email. IE7 does show them, that's good for now. Well, should I make the change to a more clear source code? -Rene (17 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

Re: Small issue with homepage & Firefox —Ross Crawford
(...) Because (in FF) the size of the link reduces when you mouse over, it creates a very strange effect when the mouse is near the border between 2 adjacent links - it alternates between one link and the other. ROSCO (17 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

Re: Small issue with homepage & Firefox Rene Hoffmeister
(...) Hi Ross, that is s.th. I would adjust. First it was interesting to know whether the effect shows up right in IE7 basically. -Rene (17 years ago, 20-Feb-07, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)
