  Re: disk failure

(...) That must've been the disk in the process of dying... Enough stuff cached in RAM to run and provide basic functionality, but not enough to handle the non-constantly-accessed functions. Thanks for the data points. --Todd (20 years ago, 28-Apr-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: disk failure

(...) I noticed Lugnet was down for a while at about 5:00ish GMT. When it came back up there was no traffic on the traffic page, i.e. no reported posting, even for the last 7 days, everthing else seemed to work as far as I tested it. I didn't (...)   disk failure

The LUGNET production server (still the older server, hosted at Pair Networks) suffered a disk failure today at what appears to be, according to the logs, 11:30am EST. The disk has been replaced, data restored, and we seem to be set back about 8 (...) (20 years ago, 28-Apr-04, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.announce) !!

  Trains logo - need scan

Does anyone have a nice high quality scan of the Lego Trains logo?   Changing profile info?

Hello, I am in the process of changing some profile stuff about myself that there is currently no way to change through the Lugnet "edit profile" window. I am wondering if I could have this done for me if I explain it privately to an admin, or if I (...) (20 years ago, 22-Apr-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

How about: .modify .modding .modifying .customize (...) (20 years ago, 22-Apr-04, to lugnet.admin.suggestions, lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: New Group Suggestions

(...) I would put new elements in lugnet.parts.wanted I guess, and possibly expand mod to modified, but other than that I like your categorization!   Re: Two ways you can help LUGNET ...

(...) Bugzilla is great, but I'm not sure it'd be the best for external use -- its UI isn't terribly intuitive. Once you're over the initial intimidation, it's very powerful, but if you're just an end-user, it shouldn't be that complicated to (...) (20 years ago, 15-Apr-04, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: REPLY BACK

(...) LUGNET has a better mechanism for "subscribe as mailing list." Why keep this anachronistic exception around, gatewaying to an outside mailing list? If that list can't control its spam then I suggest LUGNET should pull the plug on the gateway, (...) (20 years ago, 14-Apr-04, to lugnet.admin.general)
