  Non-apperance of new newsgroups
 
I have had this happen several times. I new newsgroup will show up on one of my computers, but not on another; usually only lasts a few days and eventually the other computer will show the new news group. (...) Linc, Which newsreader(s) are you using, both at home and at work? I reckon it's some sort of clock setting problem. Are the time & dates correct on your two machines? Are the the same (within a few minutes)? When a newsreader asks the (...) (26 years ago, 11-Feb-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

(...) I seem to remember LarryP having a similar sort of trouble (mysteriously disappearing & reappearing group or a non-appearing new group) with MSOE last fall. However you seem to think I do, you've sent poor schlubs to me in search of help with the infernal thing at least once. :-) And of course, every time you misremember something it gets harder to (...)
