  Re: Pirate fleet

(...) I believe that I'm at 77 classes, built or almost built, at the moment. Boats - have 15 (1 is carried by the SES) Longboats - none yet, but I have some examples of how to make them. Cutters - want 20, have 19. Brigs - want 6, have 6, but two (...) (26 years ago, 25-Jul-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: lugnet.dev.null or somesuch

(...) I would expect a net-savvy person to be posting something which actually was worthwhile, and to chose an appropriate group. The concern of mine which brought this up is the recent tendency for discussions to get crossposted to a bunch of (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jul-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: lugnet.dev.null or somesuch

(...) Well, there's precedent in alt.dev.null [1]. But really, I can't think of very many things that couldn't either go to one of the .off-topic groups (not just .debate!) or just be left unsaid. [1] what fun! (26 years ago, 24-Jul-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: lugnet.dev.null or somesuch

(...) How different is .off-topic.debate from that already? How many net-savvy people who wanted to post a real reply would simply change the ng line prior to posting? What would newbies think when they posted a reply not knowing where they reply (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jul-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  lugnet.dev.null or somesuch

I was just thinking that everyonce in a while I post something which I don't expect any replies to, it would be neat if there was a lugnet.dev.null or lugnet.trashbin or something which we could set followups to. The group could either actually (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jul-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: New newsgroups request: lugnet.org.it & lugnet.org.it.itlug

  Re: Getting a password reset?

(...) Cool beans! I love this "ask for a feature to find out it's already been implemented" idea. :^D (...) That would be *most* cool. I really like the way the brief mode works, with the suppression of quoted text and all that. It'd be most cool to (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jul-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  New newsgroups request: lugnet.org.it & lugnet.org.it.itlug

Hi Todd, I performed a short survey and gathered positive feedbacks about this topic, so we are ready to proceed. Please consider this post an official request by ItLUG. CHARTER/PURPOSE: lugnet.org.it (group): Italy-based user groups, clubs, and (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jul-00, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.loc.it)

  Re: Getting a password reset?

(...) It actually does now (as of about 3-4 weeks ago) -- to make it go, sign in with your member ID+password and then fill out the forms (news posting setup, skip-filter, news-by-mail settings) and they'll be stored into your member record on the (...)
