Actually, upon closer inspection, could it be a store display catalog?
The dimensions would only be useful
to a store planning a display.

My first thought was I had lucked into an old catalog that revealed a
bunch of unknown sets.  However, no one agreed with me on that, so I guess
its an idea book of some kind.  Your solution (display guide) makes a lot of
sense, too, but I really don't know.  Maybe after more people see it, some
one will tell me what it is with certainty.  I will post about it in the
general group or RTL.

After checking this out a little further, I found out this was just • an
idea for a model, not an actual set.  Its very strange that there is a
number by the model (which appears to be a set number, but is not).  I • will
probably scan this and post it on my site soon, so you can see it.  Its
interesting, anyway.

The first Castle set was #0746 - it is white.  Thought you'd like to • know,

Do you have a picture of it anywhere?  A name?  A piece count?  A • year?
Proof that it's a Castle set?  (Almost all of the Castle sets are • 6000-6099,
and 0746 sounds like an old Samosonite-range number, not a Castle • set.)
