What a nice idea! But sadly enough, ALL T-online users (which is probably
more than half of all german internet users) have been banned from the
Peeron site!
... and ALL Wanadoo users (which is probably more than half of all french
internet users) have been banned too :-(((
(And I have the same problem on www.ldraw.org...)

So for all those people (including me), this new linking idea is rather
useless. Too bad though, because peeron.com was a great site as long as I
could access it!

I use an anonymiser to get through that problem. For example try
http://anon.free.anonymizer.com/http://www.peeron.com/inv
It works, but you will have to stand all the advertisement messages...

Could it be that anonymizer.com is now banned, too? I tried accessing
the inventories via T-Online an the anonymizer just now, getting the
friendly reminder "HTTP/403 Access Denied", but the peeron site works just
fine from work at the very same moment...

The sad part is that I'm just about to leave this job (Januar 31. will
be my last working day), so I'll lose any and all access to the inventories
by that date :-(

Dan, I really understand your point about having to pay for your
connectivity and that providing a service to the community should not
drive you broke, but if you could provide me with an access to the raw
data, perhaps via an FTP account on your machine so that the web spiders
will not overload your connection as easily, I could run my own scripts
in my local network at home and use the inventory.

If necessary, I could also put the pre-generated HTML pages on the
server of my provider, giving access to us poor T-Online guys back in
Germany. (Damn, this hobby is driving me broke... T-Online is the only
affordable broadband provider in Germany ;-( )
