(...) 1692 isn't, but 1694 is. Is there a third Galactic Scout set or is that a typo? --Todd (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.admin.database)

  5905

Hey Todd I just got some of these 5905's at the LEGO Imagineation Center, would you like me to send you a flattened box or instructions? I do not have a scanner so I cannot send you scans. Mike (25 years ago, 18-May-99, to lugnet.admin.database)

Re: Joshua please read the message before this on..(Was: What do the set numbers mean?)

I have read it. I don't think I took too much from Horst, most of my information came from Tore-sourced material. Anyway, I'm up to 1970 or so, so the early stuff is pretty much done. As for the rest, I _don't_ have much time to deal with it lately. (...) (25 years ago, 16-May-99, to lugnet.faq, lugnet.admin.database)

  7824 MSRP

I just was browsing around the sets and noticed that 7820 Train Station has ? listed for MSRP, but the scan clearly shows a list price of $49.00 (of course I suppose the scan may not be from a U.S. catalog). Just curious Frank (25 years ago, 15-May-99, to lugnet.admin.database)

Re: lego color names (what color is the starwars windscreen)

(...) What platform and development system are you using for your inventory program? I have been contemplating a Windows 95 Delphi based inventory database. I have contemplated making it fairly complex with multiple linked tables (for example a (...) (25 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.db.inv, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: What do the set numbers mean?

Hi Joshua, I've the admin right to the lugnet database, too, but have not much time to enter the missing sets/pictures to the database recently, and this seems to be continuing for a while. I have more than 600 pics (of sets already in database but (...) (25 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.faq, lugnet.admin.database)

Re: What do the set numbers mean?

(...) <big ol' snip> (...) Hmm. I am uncomfortable with the term "discovered". Let's say I recently _entered_ them. (...) There are the original "Universal" building sets, from the very beginning of LEGO releases. Surf here for more... (URL) see (...) (25 years ago, 13-May-99, to lugnet.faq, lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Star Wars fixes

(...) According to your arguement, any brick (not plate) can be classified as a minifig. You did not limit the definition of "torso", and all bricks can accept minifig legs. Maybe the only qualifier should be the single long neck stud. (emphasis on (...) (25 years ago, 12-May-99, to lugnet.admin.database, lugnet.starwars)

Re: What do the set numbers mean?

(...) Generally, they mean quite a bit, but there are a lot of exceptions. The full answer can take days to answer. :) (...) Yeah. (...)   Re: Star Wars fixes

(...) Yup. (...) Ah, nice one. I think I would say that that was a minifig, because of the standard head. (...) The torsos still accept the new-style legs though, don't they? Do they have long neck studs, or did the torso just have a normal stud on (...) (25 years ago, 12-May-99, to lugnet.admin.database, lugnet.starwars)

  Re: Circle/Disc terminology

(...) Ahh, good points. Both the "2x2 Cylinder Brick" and the "2x2 Quarter-Circle Brick" are 1 brick tall, but a cylinder (in geometry) actually has a volume and a circle (in geometry) has only circumference to speak of. This is an anomaly to be (...) (25 years ago, 11-May-99, to lugnet.market.auction, lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Circle/Disc terminology

Isn't there any web site that has generally agreed on names for all the lego bricks?   Re: Circle/Disc terminology

In your terminology, though, I'd argue that they should not be called circles! Circles have no thickness. What will you do if TlG brings out the following bricks... a 4 radius cylinder with a 2 radius cylinder subtracted b 4 radius cylinder with a 3 (...)   Circle/Disc terminology

(...) I think I see what happened -- the source of the confusion is in the terminology -- and I made the same mistake that Tom made when I read his post (I just saw the words "quarter-circle" and "white" and glossed over the "4x4" part).
