(...) Frank, I noticed the same thing in regards to the yellowing of blue bricks in a long ago sealed late 1960's set. For me it was blue sloped bricks. (...) Yellowing may not just be due to sun. A few years back, I opened some sealed sets that were from the 70s. They had yellowed blue bricks (but not all the blue bricks), so I assume there are other causes of yellowing than just UV damage (and the (...) (18 years ago, 17-Jul-06, to lugnet.general)

(...) Yes, blue definitely also yellows. Several years ago I bought out a kids collection. I found a significant number of yellowed blue bricks. Hello all, So, I bought some brick from a woman in San Diego. Of the sets she sent me, two were glued together with superglue! It appears, from the few pieces that have fallen off, that the kid only glued the base of one brick onto the top of the (...) (18 years ago, 26-Jul-06, to lugnet.general)

Hmmmm. Interesting . . . Then maybe he didn't use superglue, because I definately see some residue on some of the loose bricks I was able to pry apart. The glue is clear, completely translucent, but on some of the brick i peeled apart, I can see the (...) (18 years ago, 26-Jul-06, to lugnet.general)

  German DB Class 144 in 8-wide for IR System
 
While I'm not 100 percent sure what the new 6 x 30 IR train baseplate looks like, I tried to fake it for an experiment to build a locomotive based on the German DB Class 144 as inspired by the new IR set loc as a starting point. I've seen better (...) (18 years ago, 28-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains)

Well if you look at the first part that goes over building the engine, you will notice that it shows sliding the 9v wheels onto the axel, then placeing them in the holder. So obviously it is a new set, how it ended up online before it's anocement (...) (18 years ago, 27-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.inst, FTX)

(...) I'm not a chemist, nor am I the authority on any subject, but in my limited life experience with super glue and models - I'm afraid you're out of luck.
