Re: Update on my 2wide work

(...) Yeah, it looks pretty bleak. I took some street level pics too, but they looked like "ghost town" so I discarded them. I think a few vehicles and some street scenery will help, as the title says, it is only half done. There have been some very (...) (20 years ago, 7-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale)

Hi Bruce Thank you very much for your kind words. (...) There's just something about anime-style character design that demands a bit of extra effort. :) I'll be making postings highlighting various of those anime-related figures at some point. (...) (...)   Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) I personally advocate 1 stud to the foot, which is about 1:38. If the stud size is exactly 8mm then it's 1:38.1. If a stud size is 5/16" then it's 1:38.4. There's little difference between the two, unless you build something 14630 plates high (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

  Re: Vincent Veneman: AMAZING building

I'd agree with Mark that technic figs are about 1/20 scale. My metre guage stuff works out at about 1/25 and there are a bit big and my two foot guage stuff at 1/16 and they are definately a too small. Having said that, the figs on this model look (...) (20 years ago, 6-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Some G.I.Joe minifig customs

Hello to one and all I thought that there might be some interest in the images of my customized minifigures now up on Brickshelf. Over the holidays, I was very busy with a friend's scanner, getting "record shots" of the majority of my custom work. (...)   Vincent Veneman: AMAZING building

I saw these earlier on brickshelf but couldn't find them later, until now. I finally stumbled across this again!: (URL) builder says the scale is 1 : 24 on 60mm wide track. Is that technic fig scale?   Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) I always accord minifigs 1:35 scale, possibly 1:32, because those are the closest "standard military" scales. But also, I go by the average of the minifigs' dimensions, which sort of implies they are 5' tall and very, very broad. So I am (...)
