Re: Browser Add-On to View DAT Files...

Try a simpler one first with only one part... I believe that when you install LDLite it will automatically make the association for you if you use netscape. if not, when netscape prompts you what to do with the file, instead of downloading it, tell (...) (25 years ago, 19-Sep-99, to lugnet.faq)

  Re: Junk Box #1 Thread

(...) Someone could turn the box inside out, the USPS got their return for supplying the box for free by now, I am sure. Or someone could even use a new box! While it's neat to see how many reps you can get out of one box it's not a requirement I (...) (25 years ago, 19-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Ryan, I have cross posted your entire append to market.buy-sell.trade and set followups there, because that is where it belongs. (...) But I have to comment. This strategy MAY work. But it might not, you may have to pay market value for the set if (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Garage doors

You're welcome to run your auction as you see fit, it's your stuff after all. But I wonder if actually seeing the bids and who was making them might not shake out some other sellers. (1) I am (2) NOT trying to start a brawl, just wondering. (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

My sense is this... if you get a free priority mail box new from the PS, you should use it for Priority mail. That's why the PS buys them for you, for you to use for Priority mail. Turning a new one inside out is, to a certain extent, defrauding the (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.jambalaya)

Note carefully that I am NOT advocating that you reveal the bids at this point if you set the expectation with bidders that it would be anonymous, I am referring to the "future"... whatever that means. However in reading your initial info I don't (...) (25 years ago, 20-Sep-99, to lugnet.market.auction)

Sorry if I'm not being very clear. Let me try again. One NEVER reveals the amount of proxy bids, because they are supposed to be secret. That's the idea. Just a nit, I agree with the theme of the post, but what you're basically complaining about is the retail prices. S@H prices are (except for specials) basically just a pretty fixed markup (rounded to the nearest quarter(1)) of the suggested (...) (25 years ago, 22-Sep-99, to lugnet.general)
