Re: Color Change - Final Update - Track

Frank, I'm surprised you didn't mention one of the brown parts we love: Ship hulls. The primary problems with the new colors is that the new greys look like metal, not stone. In the same way, the old brown looks like wood. But a chocolate-colored (...) (20 years ago, 5-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego)

  MAERSK SEALAND

Built my Maersk ship last night. What a great model. It was a lot of fun to build. Well up until the containers, then it got a little repetitive. Great way to start out your stone grey collection. Tons of 1x2, and 2x8 plates, 2x10 bricks and 1x6 (...) (20 years ago, 26-May-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Shazzam! Holy crap, that's gorgeous. Favorite things: 1) The stately front gate with the 1x1 bricks in the inner arch. 2) The brilliant vintage telephone design and 1x1 plate monstrosity stone fireplace in the Entrance Hall. 3) The way the connected (...) (...) Agreed - I think we can get solid enough. The main thing is what mountain configuration to use (so it can be built) right? That part at least we should be able to put in stone.
