Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

I am very tempted to say a lot about this issue but as most is already said, I’ll keep it short: As an engineer of profession I will just repeat the old saying that can never be repeated too often: Don’t repair something that is not broken! This in (...) (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.general)

New year, new url for Engineering with ABS

Hi First let me start by wishing you all the best for 2004! By end of January I will finish my studies at the University of Applied Sciences, Solothurn Northwest Switzerland and start work as an engineer in a Swiss company in the robotics business. (...) SNIP (...) First, I have yet to see the new colors in person. That being said: The only thing I know for sure is that companies (large and small) rarely do anything unless they somehow feel it will increase their profits, marketshare, stockprice, (...)   Re: Are there GOTO statements in NQC?

As a computer science software engineer i work since 1984. My university studies before (Hamburg, Germany) taught me, that science had proved: any program using a goto statement can easily be transformed into a structured program. Remember, that (...)   spybot studies: direction testing

I needed to know what TargetDirection() meant at different ranges, so I did another study. Graphic results here: (URL) information post-moderation: (URL) of the methodology are in target_direction.nqc (and some in target_direction.xls). I quit after (...)   Re: Spybot studies: seek a world object

As with the vast majority of the ROM subroutines (and all the _Bead subroutines) this subroutine fiddles around with a global variable (via calls to EnterBead and ExitBead). In this case it happens to be global (...) (21 years ago, 10-Nov-03, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics)

... Just reading an old post and saw my mistake: of course 880 nm is closer to red (650nm) than 940nm !!!   Re: Petition against permanent color changes

The four of us in our very LEGO household use mass quantities of light gray and dark gray - we buy more bulk bricks and plates in these two colors than all others combined.   Spybot studies: seek a world object

/* beacon.nqc Uses World Relation Table to get a fix on and drive to another object. The object can be a Spybot, PC, or Spybot Controller. In case anyone was wondering (yeah, sure :-), this line in my original post: lediDisplay = (x & 0x17) ((x & 8) * 4) ((x & 32) / 4) rearranges the bits so that the lower 6 bits can easily be read left to right (while looking at the bot from the (...)
