I have an american catalog from 1973 and a couple of british idea books/catalogs from the period when lego didn't put year of release on their material. They mention such sets as basic sets 020 (...) | I pretty much assemble the set the way the instructions say unless there's one part of the set I REALLY want to assemble before the book indicates. But I always assemble the figs first.
