Re: Loads of new 8 / 6 wide MOC pix posted

(...) No need to apologize for any delay. I just like to get a feeling for how big everyone is building. I think I caught Nealitis in a big way. Most of my stuff is right at the GMLTC limit, and some of my stuff is over the limit by quite a bit (15 (...) (24 years ago, 8-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LEGO Capacitors use on Trains?

(...) How would you wire it so that it would only light the light? I would think that it would try to drive the train at the same time... Of course, that might be an interesting way to make the train more "speed realistic" - it would gain speed more (...) (24 years ago, 7-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains)

From the first LEGO(r) Train Summit: LEGO(r) Trains are alive and well

I am under NDA so cannot go into a lot of detail, but I did want to post to say that and several other Lego Trains stalwarts have just completed the first ever LEGO(r) Train Summit. We have just spent Friday evening and all day Saturday meeting with (...) (24 years ago, 3-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains) !!

another voice from the first summit

I have to mind the NDA we all signed, but I'd like to offer a few more comments after attending the First LEGO Train Summit this weekend. In case you don't know, "NDA" stands for "Non Disclosure Agreement". Basically, we cannot talk specifics about (...) (24 years ago, 5-Feb-01, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.trains)

Re: [CW sort of] BIG new update to my web page!

(...) Very good! The teaser for the Amber Castle is great. Very interesting characters. Nice job on the backstory. I enjoyed the way you have mixed certain parts of "real" Castle Lego history with your own story. -L (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.castle)

  AUSTRALIAN CATALOGUE 2000

Well. After an uphill walk to Lego Australia's office I now have 3 (plus one for me!) Catalogues. (first in first sent). It's more instuctive to list what isn't in it more than what is since by now you should all have an idea of the new products in (...) (25 years ago, 9-Mar-00, to lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general)

Loads of new 8 / 6 wide MOC pix posted

I'm starting to figure out how my digital camera works and have been posting pix of some of my Train creations from the past six months / year. Highlights for 8-wide include EMD SD90MAC locomotives, double door box cars, a 110 ton ore hopper, (...) (24 years ago, 1-Feb-01, to lugnet.trains) !!

(...) Check out Matt's Train Depot for more ideas on how to do this. The 2x2 turntables work quite well, the GMLTC uses them whenever possible. (URL) GMLTC (24 years ago, 24-Jan-01, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Americana - new building for PDX GATS

(...) Use basic bricks/plates and lay them on their side. Obviously this works best if your layout has "depth", i.e. isn't just baseplates on plywood.   Three Dimensions (was: Show report)
