  Re: Trainshed version 2.0

(...) Oooohhh... Pretty!! (Or "handsome", if you prefer! *grin*) I especially like this picture, it feels like you're inside a real-life shed: (URL) GMLTC (21 years ago, 13-Jul-03, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Name that comic!

(...) "The last desparate gasp of a company that doesn't even know who its best and most loyal fans are..." Man, am I really that cynical this morning? Bring back grey and dark grey!!! <sigh> JohnG, GMLTC (20 years ago, 22-Apr-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Pick a Brick at BrickFest

(...) Oh, I'd go for that, too... I'm seriously considering registering for BrickFest even though I won't be able to attend -- just to get a chance at some of this Pick-a-Brick! JohnG, GMLTC (20 years ago, 24-Jun-04, to lugnet.events.brickfest, FTX)

Re: I need some 'modding' expertise

(...) Responding to David, Bryan's question is very similar... The building sits on grey baseplates, the baseplates are glued to the plywood base. The base has wheels that will allow it to be moved fairly easily. I don't think it would be possible (...) (20 years ago, 21-Sep-04, to lugnet.parts.mod, FTX)

Re: Anyone have more pics of these cars at BF PDX?

(...) I took a couple of close-ups, I'll try to get them posted this weekend. Or, I could email them to you in larger resolution if you'd prefer. JohnG, GMLTC (21 years ago, 4-Mar-04, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

  Re: sliding door

(...) Oh wow, I need to let the caffeine I'm having for breakfast start to work before I try to understand this... Very cool, very clever - and well disguised from the outside of the train. Great job! JohnG, GMLTC (20 years ago, 19-Apr-04, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Drachenschlaf: Castle of the Sleeping Dragon

(...) Wow, that is just lovely! Such a variety of shapes, and none of them boring rectangles. Angled walls, hills, round towers - so much to see and admire. Great job, definitely worth spotlighting! JohnG, GMLTC (19 years ago, 13-Oct-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Does anyone know how these wheels were constructed

(...) I heard someone say they were Fischer Technic (??) wheels. I might have an image somewhere with the contact info on it, I'll check and if I find it I'll post it. JohnG, GMLTC (21 years ago, 25-Mar-04, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: New container ship color

(...) Silly me, thinking the darker green would be called 'dark green', especially since that was the way the survey was worded... <grin> I just can't even begin to keep track of all these color names! JohnG, GMLTC (20 years ago, 22-Jun-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.color, FTX)

any update on plans for Cincinnati in July?

I've got club members trying to plan vacations, and we're curious as to dates, hotels, etc... Any confirmed plans, yet? Thanks, we're looking forward to seeing a LOT of you there! JohnG, GMLTC (20 years ago, 26-Jan-05, to lugnet.trains)

I'm crazy jealous I can't be there this year, I had a great time in Cincinnati last year. I know you all will represent the Lego Train hobby well! Looking forward to seeing pictures! JohnG, GMLTC (18 years ago, 3-Jul-06, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Isn't that the whole idea, to finish faster, therefore earlier? *grin* And no, I'm not volunteering to be on the build team. I build fairly well, but I don't build quickly! JohnG, GMLTC fut. ? (21 years ago, 25-Jul-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

(...) That makes me laugh, because the first thing I thought of when the pieces went together was near the opposite end of the technological spectrum - the paddlewheel on a steamship... :-) JohnG, GMLTC (21 years ago, 2-Oct-03, to lugnet.build, FTX)
