  Meet on Saturday

Hello Baylug friends. Sorry I couldn't stay longer on Saturday. Had a great time though, anyway. Is anybody else having trouble getting to Lugnet today? Also, did anybody happen to take my plan drawing of the Lego logo sign home? I left it on the (...) (25 years ago, 6-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.us.ca.sf)

  Wanted to Buy: Technic Tracks

Hi folks- I'm looking to buy a set of Technic vehicle tracks/treads. They were available in set 8229 "Tread Trekker" and 8414 "Mountain Rambler" both of which came out in 1997. I'd appreciate any help on how to "track" these pieces or sets down :-) (...) (24 years ago, 7-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: OC2 and OC3 outputs?

Take a look at the schematics, which are linked from the top page of the Handy Board web site. The info you are looking for is in the CPU / memory schematic. For the DC Motor outputs, the board uses a separate output latch---not the timer outputs. (...) (29 years ago, 24-Mar-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: expansion board

the code has not yet been written. My hope was that some people who got expansion boards might want to do some of the work themselves. For example, the code for dealing with the analog ports can be taken from previous code for the 6.270 board and (...) (29 years ago, 29-Mar-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

They're not too fast, so I'm not sure if they'll save you. the motor chips do have over-current protection of their own, though it has been known to fail from (...)   Re: IC loop

Hi Wade, You can use the "seconds()" function which reports elapsed time, plus a variable to keep track of when the loop should end: void main() { float end_time; end_time= seconds() + 20.; /* go for 20 seconds */ while (seconds() < end_time) { /* (...) it sounds like it's *almost* working. 1. did you try DL, not DLM, in full screen dos mode? 2. try both of these as a DOS program. 3. did you try adjusting your serial port parameters in the windows control panel, a la the FAQ? fred (26 years ago, 23-Jun-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: Downloading problems

Use 6811 Downloader to download pcode_hb.s19. Power cycle, and the Handy Board should beep and display a version message on its LCD screen. Then, run IC modem or IC printer depending on which port you are using. It should be configured to boot with (...) (26 years ago, 26-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

You need to get the CONFIG register to be set to 0x0c. If it is set to 0x0d, there will be memory conflicts. See the FAQ for an explanation. Try DL.EXE from the freeware DOS package.
