Good deal!!! I got the Giagantic Robot Set (8277) for 1/2 price ($19.99) at TRU last week. Was opened "w/a few missing parts". All that was missing were a few beams but the rest makes great parts. (26 years ago, 17-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

  beta testers wanted for LEGO MindStorms
 
Hi all, LEGO is officially looking for beta testers for their new MindStorms product scheduled to ship this fall. I'm not sure what their selection criteria are, other than that you must live in the States and have Pentium running Windows 95. It's a (...) Larry... What parts are you looking for from the 8437? I only have 1 but don't nearly all the parts. Fred... There are 4 yellow "A" arms in the 8437.   RTL and Outlook Express
 
No matter what I've tried everytime I try to use RTL it defaults to the Lugnet section on my Outlook Express. Obviously it's NOT there. What am I doing wrong? Need help real bad here, please.... ;( (26 years ago, 18-Dec-98, to lugnet.general)

in short, the answer is: "you can't use 3 to 4v motors with the Handy Board." basically, these motors are cheap toy motors that are incredibly noisy from an electrical standpoint, plus they want to draw far more current than the Handy Board's motor (...) Hmmm.... Now I'm gonna have to go thru the whole Mouser CD to find all the parts to import into Mindstorms.
