  Re: Crimson Skies

(...) I'm glad you feel inspired to build Crimson Skies. However, one of the tenets of the Crimson Skies style is that the planes are sort of futuristically shaped, yet in a 1942 style. So they do a lot of rearranging of common aircraft elements (...) (21 years ago, 6-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow

I have just seen the trailer for this film, it has possibly been on release in the USA for a while, I don't know. But it looks like Crimson Skies has just hit the big screen - blimps and prop planes with huge guns!! Has anyone seen the movie? Is it (...)   Re: Crimson Skies - NightHawk v.2

(...) Hey, some nice changes you've done. I still think the nose area throws it off, but the piston engine and the big clunky machine guns go a long way toward making it look more Crimson Skies era. The only other suggestion I would have is to use (...) (21 years ago, 12-Feb-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.military, FTX)

(...) One of the photos says "Copyright (c) 2004, J. Fisher") so maybe that might be a clue? (...) I have to agree with that! Thematically it is somewhat of a cross between Crimson Skies, Steam Punk, and Castle Laputa. The photography is quite nice (...)   Re: Crimson Skies...who built this one?

(...) Wow, wow and WOW. I just checked out the link for the movie. Coincidence? Hard to tell. Anyhoo, this little bird rocks. Very good detailing and coloring...it achieves the more fanciful design that is Crimson Skies (as opposed to my overly (...) (21 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

(...) Totally superb plane. Who do I have to kill to get one? ;) I take it the front landing gear retracts, but can we see pictures please? I have a question: Is this the same Crimson Skies game that came out about 3 years ago? If so, why is it only (...) (21 years ago, 18-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

(...) It doesn't have to be transatmospheric to be space. :) As far as I'm concerned, anything science fiction is fair game in the .space newsgroup.   2 More Crimson Skies Moc's and a few upgrades

Well I took some time off of building ships (not like I was pumping a lot out) and made a few more Crimson Skies planes for the Northern Knights. I blame these latest builds on my using some of my free time playing Crimson Skies on X-Box Live. The (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military, FTX) !

Re: So, what are you guys working on?

Well, I've got a nice large bag of MOCs backlogged since the family camera broke down (not my fault, I swear:). 1. A semi-capital craft, roughly 60cm long. 2. A light fighter. 3. A couple of non-Crimson Skies alternate aircraft. 4. A bit o' PCS. And (...) (21 years ago, 20-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)
