Re: The value of reading (was: If you could leave any book on Kjeld's nightstand...)

(...) Allan, are you saying you don't get what the difference between correlation and causality is? Chris's words seem pretty clear to me... there seems to be a statistical link (a correlation) between poverty and education level, to wit, people who (...)   How accurate need bricks and patterns to be?

Hello, I have a couple of questions about the accuracy of bricks for LDraw. I have put my questions along with images to make clear what I mean on my website: (URL) an overvieuw of the bricks I am working on: (URL) there anyone that can answer my (...) (22 years ago, 19-Sep-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Light bricks with light?

(...) It's kinda hard to describe. The object itself emits light. If it's opaque, then it just looks like it's in a well-lit area. But if it's transparent, the clear parts refract and reflect the light is a pretty convincing way. To get realistic, (...) (22 years ago, 1-Oct-02, to lugnet.cad)

  Mechastruct Entry: Paradox

Hello All- another entry already, I like this contest thingy. Anyway, here's for the Ugliest Color Scheme category. Believe me, this is a real eyesore. I tried to use every non-clear lego color but dark blue. (No WAY am I scrapping the Slave One for (...) (22 years ago, 25-Oct-02, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Brownish Transparent

Old Lego often changed color (due to aging etc.) I have some parts from the late fifties that look more cream than white and the transparent parts (used to be clear) are a bit brownish. Are there matching colorvalues for MLCad and POV to let the (...) (22 years ago, 29-Dec-02, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Sea Monkey "Squidfin" Recon Pix....

Joe, I really like that submarine. It makes a nice baby brother to your Nautilus. I also really like the way you're putting the diorama together with clear stands to make the Sea Monkeys "float". Very cool MOC. Bruce (22 years ago, 13-Mar-03, to lugnet.aquazone, lugnet.space)

  Old stock re-appearing....possibly near you

All, I just got a call from a colleague in our sales department. They are working closely with the big chains this summer to clear out much of their old inventory to make way for newer products. Ben, If you change the language of the letter so that it is clear that you are a group of people made up mostly of AFOLs, not the entire AFOL community then I will have no opinion about your letter, retract my objection to it, and wish you the (...)   Re: BrickTopia - Airport (MOC)
