  Re: External power supply ?

(...) I ran by Radio Shak today and they had one 3-12v rated at 1A I think. It was $37! (...) I have considered that too. But uncovered another potential complication. In researching around somewhere... I think at lego.com actually it said that RCX (...) (21 years ago, 13-Jan-04, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) Dan, The ship is nice and all, but I think I'm more stunned by the size and shear patience to build that (bridge, display stand, coffin, Wall of China) underneath it. Aaron S (21 years ago, 15-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: Knights' Shop and Joust

(...) Wow very nice - It's like two "structures" in one! You've packed a lot of details into the main building, such as the upper level balcony (where the maiden is standing). I also like the way you've incorporated the outer wall into the building, (...) (21 years ago, 14-Jan-04, to lugnet.castle)

Re: Best "practical" use of LEGO?

A 180 degree oval turn of track fits perfectly with the shorter dimension of my old lab demo table, so I set up a long oval (to get the trains past the sink) and crashed some of my Lego trains together to demonstrate conservation of momentum and (...)   Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

Here are my current concerns about the color changes. Note, I define the isssue as 'replacing existing core colors with slightly different colors', so my opinion would be very different about new colors that clearly differ from existing ones. Also (...) (...) Yup, I am really excited about some of the new sets. Namely, that new Harry Potter shack, looks very good as a source of house parts. (...)   Re: Nicely now. What do you think of the new colors?

(...) My take on the issue: For the new grey, the change is rather subtle and unless put right next to eachother I don't see much problems with using the color in new models I will make together with the old grey.   Modular Military Walled Compound Idea

LEGO fans have a modula moonbase. A modular castle village and wall. Here is my idea for a modern modular complex, a military walled compound. The walls would be sort of like the CCC standard walls, but modern. Wall prototype pictures. (2 URLs) (...) (21 years ago, 26-Jan-04, to lugnet.build)
