Re: here is a cool castle idea

(...) So, yeah, that was sorta the idea behind the new castle project and behind the classic sets way long ago (though admittedly the classic sets weren't *quite* as modular as what you're talking about here). But, here's a thought on that-- how (...) (21 years ago, 9-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle)

Juan, This is great! It has real depth, with the recessed arches and the way that some of the wall sections are inset, etc. Do you have a photo of the real-life gate? Bruce (21 years ago, 13-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle)

(...) You should be--that is FANTASTIC! I love the depth to the detail--layering of arches and so forth. I've found myself that I do a lot more of that when working from a real-world prototype... I need to do more of that to develop my own skill. I (...) (21 years ago, 13-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle)

(...) I absolutely agree that major corporations more often than not are run for the benefit of management and not the stockholders. They do it in a variety of ways, too. Hi Nick, I think your wall and gate are great. It proves that groups other than western europe can use the CCC. Chinese/Japanese, Roman, or Middle Eastern walls can be built this way. The color schemes and the scale are also nice. Ben (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.castle, FTX)
