  Unable to download P_code

Hi everybody, When the one end of the RJ11 cable plug into the RJ12 side entry(J10), it supposed the red LED on the charger board will light up. However, it failed to light up. Hence, this made the booststrap failed and I unable to download the (...) (26 years ago, 21-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Re: 1999 Train 4561

Some more things to add after seeing the LEGO DIRECT Catalogue: I think the windows on the 4561 are standard panes of glass as shown on the Riot Police Soccer set and many others. The 4519 Cross Over looks pretty good, the black square in the middle (...) (26 years ago, 6-Dec-98, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: LOGO with Mindstorms

(...) Since your LOGO turtle doesn't need other sensors, you can put two rotation sensors and use an adder/subtractor to drive the two motors. Put the rotation sensors early in the gear chain and with sufficient reduction you can get very precise (...) (26 years ago, 31-Dec-98, to lugnet.robotics)

RE: Seeking Strategies on Humanoid Robots/Walkers

Interesting !! Nice to have someone else tackling the problem, I guess if your on the Internet your never alone :) That is a good idea about using MEL, it should be possible to construct a file, perhaps even standardize a format to it and then read (...)   LONG!!! - RCX Radarbots and distance measurement

RCX Radarbots and distance measurement While I like the idea of a radarbot, most of the algorithms I've seen for implementing it were basically "You're close when the return signal starts to get really noisy." I wanted to know more about what was (...) (26 years ago, 5-Feb-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: Charge polarity on each board opposite?

(...) Do those two boards (Hboard and I/F) have differing requirements of the transformer charge plugs, as the schematics indicate? I have so many wall-warts around, DC and AC, but they all have the return line on the outside. Perhaps it doesn't (...) (28 years ago, 29-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Charge polarity on each board opposite?

Well, I finally broke it. My Handyboard has been a true workhorse, so forgiving of my newbie errors, until now. Mine has a 9.6V Nicad in the case. When I tried to fire it up last, the battery was low so I plugged in the 12V DC supply line from the (...) (28 years ago, 28-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

RE: Charge polarity on each board opposite?

On a related note, given the power draw of the HB (minimal) would it be practical on some future design to put a small bridge rectifier. This will cost you ~ 1.4 volts (given two diode drops if I calculate it correctly) but has the advantage that (...) (28 years ago, 29-Aug-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

Re: Geez, its hard to stomach all of this

A lot of people have been debating the impeachment issue here. I have an opinion, but because I am lazy, I am going to re-post something that I wrote for another discussion group.   Re: The Brick Testament - David Makes New Friends

Going back to try and cover the stories I missed: David Acts Insane - I really like the wall behind the Philistine king's throne. The "drool" is funny as a LEGO joke, though I'm not sure if it's effective just looking at it as a depiction of the (...) (17 years ago, 23-Nov-07, to lugnet.build.ancient, FTX)
