  Re: Insuring LEGO collections

I've been wondering about this same problem myself. I don't think I have 25K in LEGO, but I'd say I have at least 10K. I doubt that my insurance would cover more than 2-3K if there were ever a loss. Please let us know if you find a good suggestion. (...) (24 years ago, 9-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.appraisal)

  Re: Paradisa wanted

These sets are particularly painful to find. I went on a focused search for the windows from 6416 several months ago. I managed to scare some up after trading some of my other high-value parts. Usually, there are a few of these sets available on (...) (24 years ago, 9-Sep-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

Re: A challenging way to build--

I used to ignore the main model and strip all new sets for pieces in MOC's. Recently, I started building the main model if its good, but they usually are really easy. For a given project size, I've found that a MOC takes 3-5 times longer than (...) (24 years ago, 13-Sep-00, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Purchasing RCX...Which Version?

I like my 1.0 RCX because of the power jack. I typically use the RCX to automate train layouts and buildings. I like to leave it on, animating the scene for a long period of time.
