| | Re: Updated lego.com: Fresh'n'Clean
|
| (...) I concur! I was pleasantly surprised the other day when I noticed the site had been updated. The navigation is much cleaner than before! I especially like the Flash nav in the products section. I usually hate the use of Flash as a navigation (...) (21 years ago, 25-Apr-03, to lugnet.lego.direct, lugnet.dear-lego)

| | Re: "Lego Auctions" on Lego.com?
|
| (...) This was introduced by Brad Justus during his talk at BricksWest. I'm not certain, but it may be included in Ahui and Marisella's transcript of the talk. IIRC this is a partnering with eBay a'la Disney Auctions. It sounds like it will be less (...) (23 years ago, 31-Mar-02, to lugnet.market.auction)

| [Followup-to lugnet.off-topic.geek] (...) *grin* (...) Oh, certainly an amazing number of people use it wrongly. But a lot of people also say that they "could care less", when they mean that they couldn't. People don't think about what they're (...) | |The Blink and Double Blink events in the Scout implements a click and double |click functionality on the light sensor. In this way you can use an ordinary |flashlight to signal click and double click and make things happen. The |timing of the (...) (25 years ago, 19-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics.scout)

| It's also interesting to note that it is only your speed(17,000mph) that you orbit the earth that makes you weightless, you see, you're constantly falling. You have to go far beyond Mars to feel truly weightless. (...) (24 years ago, 22-Nov-00, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.space)

| (...) It's called a "meteoroid" until it enters the atmosphere (the difference from asteroids is subtle--meteroids tend to be smaller and without a solar orbit). Then it's a meteor in the air, and when it hits the ground, it's a meteorite. (so (...) (24 years ago, 23-Nov-00, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.space)

| (...) I disagree. The best sci-fi/fantasy takes a few premises different from what we know, but keeps the rest as accurate, self-consistent, etc., as possible. While I know Lego's not exactly aspiring for that level of writing, it wouldn't kill them (...) (24 years ago, 24-Nov-00, to lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.space)
