  Re: new newsgroup for NXT

(...) The thing is there are already RCX, Scout, Microscout, spybotics, and cybermastger sub-groups, and it hasn't hurt anything. Kev (19 years ago, 7-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I thought 'lugnet.robotics' newsgroup covers everything that have to do with Mindstorms? Then again ...there isn't a newsgroup called 'lugnet.mindstorms'? I think it good idea to add 'lugnet.mindstorms' newsgroup. I am assuming it would cover (...) (19 years ago, 6-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.admin.general)

Just a minor thing, Mr S is me, not Steve H. Also, I have given some thought to what I would really want out of Mindstorms part 3, or Lego Advance, as it were. Motor kit in 1,2,and 3 motor variants, including mounting plates and choice of wire (...) (19 years ago, 1-Dec-05, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I have a hard time believing that the assertions about LEGO backing away from mindstorms is true. LEGO has done a great thing by creating "First LEGO League". It is successful internationally, and is based on competitions with solutions built (...) (19 years ago, 29-Nov-05, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.mediawatch)

Re: how to get started programming a Spybot on the Mac?

(...) What limited Spybots programming I've done has been based on two things. First, this site: (URL) to off the .spybotics frontpage is a great resource as far as it goes (with some examples in NQC even). Second, digging through and testing the (...)   how to get started programming a Spybot on the Mac?

I got a surprise birthday present of a Spybotics set #3808 (is my wife cool or what?). I don't have a Windows machine, but I dug around on the CD-ROM, found the building instructions, and got it working. I'm able to drive it around with remote (...)   Re: multiplexing Spybot inputs?

(...) Two-way communications with what? Are you picturing some sort of microcontroller that monitors all the extra sensors, and reports values to the Spybot upon request? That sounds beyond my capabilities, as well as probably not as fast as the (...) (19 years ago, 3-Nov-05, to lugnet.robotics.spybotics, FTX)
