RE: What do these macros do? [IOMAP Access Execution Times

(...) You're right. IOMapRead and IOMapWrite are very slow functions. They're slow because you pass a character string for the name of the module you want to access; the NXT-G firmware runs through the list of modules looking for a match on the (...)   ***Nicads in Rcx?***

Hi all, I was wondering about using nicads in my RCX? has anyone had experience using them. Can they be charged in the RCX?   RE: NQC versus Lego RCX Code Speed

(...) No, the Lego GUI software and NQC both produce code for the same target -- a simple interpreted virtual machine implemented in the firmware. 1) If you have a serial tower, there is no reason I can think of to purchase the USB tower. If you use a USB tower, then you will need the USB support that Robolab 2.5 provides. 2) The hardware differences between the 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0 bricks are (...)
